xCharge payment processing not working

Credit card payments not working (using xCharge application)

If you use xCharge for credit card payment processing and you are unable to process payments, make sure the xCharge application/service is running on the server. On the server desktop check the bottom right corner near the date/time. The icon may be hidden so click on the ^ to check for anything hidden. The icon is the blue/white/brown credit card with an X in the bottom right corner. If it is not there you must launch the application by either double-clicking the xCharge shortcut on the server desktop (if it is there) or by finding and launching it from the Start Menu. It might be located in the "Most Used" section of the Start Menu or all the way at the bottom under "X". When you launch the application you will have to log in. Once logged in you can close the application on the server, verify the icon is still showing on the taskbar, and then check operation on a workstation. If for some reason this process doesn't work you can try rebooting the server. Just be sure everyone is closed out of your Practice Management and Imaging software to avoid errors resulting from the reboot. The xCharge application should be configured to automatically restart on a reboot and if there is some update happening that is blocking its startup a reboot should take care of it. See attached for a picture of the xCharge icon located on the taskbar.
